Kentucky Cream Pie(Makes 2) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

9 Tbsp. flour
3 c. sugar
3 c. milk
6 egg yolks (reserve whites)
1 stick butter
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 cooked pie shells
Preparation

Mix flour and sugar.
Mix milk and egg yolks.
Add to flour and sugar mixture.
Add butter.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly as it will scorch, until thick.
Add vanilla after thickened.
Use reserved whites for meringue, adding 1 tablespoon sugar.
Beat until peaks are formed.
Pour cooked mixture into pie shells.
Top with meringue.
Bake until brown.
