Yeast Breads - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 cake compressed yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. soft shortening
    1 c. lukewarm potatoes
    7 to 7 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
Preparation
    Mix together 1 1/2 cups water, sugar and salt.
    Crumble yeast into mixture; stir until dissolved.
    Add 2 eggs and shortening. Mix first with spoon, then by hand the potatoes and flour.
    Knead until smooth.
    Place in refrigerator for about 2 hours.
    Remove; shape dough into desired rolls, coffee cake, etc.
    Cover; let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until light.
    Bake according to directions for each type roll or pastry.
    Bake rolls at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 4 dozen.
