Karen'S Chess Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 stick margarine
    3 whole eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. cornmeal
    1/4 tsp. lemon juice
    1 deep-dish pie crust (unbaked)
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, melt margarine on low-medium heat. Pour in sugar, stirring until dissolved well. Add vinegar and vanilla extract. Stir together and bring to a rolling bubble on simmer heat. Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool slightly. Beat eggs and cornmeal together in a small bowl. Add egg-cornmeal mixture to the cooled saucepan mixture and squeezed lemon. Blend well. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 300\u00b0 and bake for 30 minutes longer.
