Baked Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine eggs, sugar and salt.
    Slowly add milk and then vanilla.
    Pour into Pyrex; sprinkle with nutmeg and place in pan of hot water.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until mixture does not adhere to knife.
