Easy Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes (in puree)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
1/2 c. water
Preparation

Cook onion in oil in a heavy saucepan over moderately low heat, stirring until softened. Add garlic and cook, stirring 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes and puree, sugar and salt and pepper to taste and bring to boil. Simmer, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes. Stir in basil and water.
