Orange Bright Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bunch romaine lettuce
    6 medium to large mushrooms
    1 tsp. fine herbs
    3 medium oranges (or 1 can mandarin oranges)
    1 small Spanish onion
    1/3 c. sliced almonds
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Wash, dry and tear romaine into bite-sized pieces.
    Slice mushrooms and toss with lettuce.
    Add herbs and toss again.
    Chill in refrigerator.
    While preparing remaining ingredients slice peeled oranges into 1/4-inch slices or use mandarin oranges.
    Slice onion thinly.
    Heat almonds and sugar in heavy skillet.
    Toss and heat slowly, stirring constantly.
    Sugar should be melted, forming a glaze over the almonds.
    Cool.
