Trash Can Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

16 cucumbers (fresh)
salt
water
2 1/2 oz. alum
1 gal. vinegar
10 c. sugar
1 1/4 oz. pickling spice
Preparation
-
Make brine with salt and water in a 4 or 5 gallon plastic can with lid.
The brine should be salty enough to float an egg.
