Cornstarch Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. beef or poultry fat drippings or margarine
1 1/2 c. broth (beef or poultry)
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. cold water
salt and pepper (if desired)
Preparation

Pour off drippings and return 2 tablespoons to roasting pan. Stir in broth. Cook over medium heat, stirring to loosen browned bits from bottom of pan.
Remove from heat and add milk.
Mix cornstarch and cold water until smooth.
Add to liquid in pan. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat and boil 1 minute.
Makes about 2 cups gravy. Can be made in saucepan.
