Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. white corn syrup
1/3 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 qt. popped popcorn
Preparation

Combine sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt.
Cook, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
Continue cooking without stirring until syrup reaches 270\u00b0 or forms a brittle ball when dropped into cold water.
Add vanilla.
(If desired, a couple drops of food coloring may be added to syrup.
Divide syrup in separate bowls for each color.)
Pour syrup over popped corn; mix thoroughly to cover all kernels.
Grease hands with butter and shape into balls.
(If desired, 1 cup of unsalted roasted peanuts may be added to popped corn.)
Number will vary according to size of each ball.
