Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 slices white bread
    1 tall can evaporated milk
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg yolks
    4 egg whites
    1/3 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Break bread into small pieces.
    Place in mixing bowl with 1 cup sugar, evaporated milk, 2 cups milk, vanilla, egg yolks and melted butter.
    Mix well.
    Pour into a 10 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Remove and make meringue.
    Beat egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar until stiff.
    Cover pudding with meringue and bake for 3 or 4 minutes until golden.
