Apple Dapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    3 eggs (room temperature)
    1 1/2 c. salad oil
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    3 c. peeled, chopped apples
    1 1/2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Grease 9-inch tube pan with solid shortening and flour lightly. Set aside.
    Sift flour and measure.
    Resift twice with soda and salt.
    Set aside.
    Prepare apples and nuts.
    Beat eggs, sugar and oil until thoroughly blended.
    Add vanilla, apples and nuts to flour mixture and to egg, sugar and oil.
    Stir good to make sure all ingredients are blended evenly into batter.
    Bake in prepared tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
    Cool a few minutes in pan but while still warm, pour hot topping over cake.
    Let cake remain in pan until almost cold.
    Remove from pan.
    Cut with sharp knife for neat slices.
