Grilled Flank Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 1/2 to 2 lb.) flank steak
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can consomme
    1 c. red wine
    2/3 c. soy sauce
    1/2 c. sliced green onions
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. lime juice
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    Trim excess fat from steak.
    Score on both sides in 1 1/2-inch squares. Place in large shallow dish.
    Combine remaining ingredients.
    Stir well.
    Pour over steak and marinate 8 hours, turning occasionally.
    Drain steak, reserving marinade.
    Grill over medium coals 7 to 9 minutes on each side, basting twice with marinade.
    To serve, slice across grain into thin slices.
    Makes approximately 6 servings.
