Fish Chowder("A Favorite From The '76 Cookbook.") - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. haddock or cod (fresh or frozen)
    water to poach fish (enough to just cover)
    salt to taste
    4 medium potatoes (more if desired), peeled and sliced
    4 good sized onions, peeled and sliced
    3/4 stick butter or margarine
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 to 3/4 c. evaporated milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    parsley flakes
Preparation
    In about 4-quart agate pot, put fish, salt and water to cover. Bring to boil and simmer until fish flakes easily.
    Remove from stock and slice potatoes into fish stock.
