Mom'S Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs
1 stick oleo
2 c. sugar
1 can applesauce
1 c. raisins
2 3/4 c. flour
1 c. nuts
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Measure buttermilk and soda together; let stand until you have mixed other ingredients.
Cream oleo and sugar together.
Add buttermilk and soda mixture and flour.
Add applesauce, salt, allspice, cinnamon and vanilla.
Add raisins and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour or until top cracks.
Glaze with powdered sugar icing.
