Schrafft'S Butterscotch Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. white corn syrup
    1 1/2 c. medium brown sugar
    1/3 c. water
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    6 Tbsp. heavy cream
Preparation
    Boil the first 4 ingredients until it reaches a heavy syrup consistency.
    Cool and add the vanilla and cream.
    If consistency is too heavy, add a little more cream.
    This may be served either hot or cold.
