Hearty Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon, finely chopped
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. crushed basil
    1 can beef broth
    1 can bean with bacon soup
    2 soup cans water
    1 (24 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked ditalini or other small pasta
    1 small zucchini, sliced
    1 to 2 c. cabbage, cut in long thin shreds
Preparation
    In a large pot, brown the bacon with the onion and celery. Add the garlic and basil and saute until vegetables are tender. Add soups, water and tomatoes.
    The tomatoes should be cut up a bit, but make sure all the juice goes into the soup.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add ditalini, zucchini and cabbage.
    Cover and reduce heat. Simmer 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
