Pear Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 peck pears, peeled
6 bell peppers (3 red, 3 green)
6 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
6 large onions
4 c. white vinegar
1 Tbsp. mixed pickling spice, tied in cloth
Preparation

Put pears, peppers and onions in food chopper (coarse blade). Drain.
Add other ingredients to vinegar and boil 15 minutes.
Add pears, peppers and onions.
Boil about 30 minutes longer.
Pack in hot jars and seal.
Makes 12 pints.
