Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    4 lb. beef roast
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
    8 small potatoes
    8 medium carrots, cut up
    8 small or 2 medium onions
Preparation
    Mix together flour, salt and pepper and rub on meat.
    Melt shortening in large Dutch oven; brown meat and reduce heat.
    Add water and Worcestershire.
    Cover tightly and simmer about 4 hours or until meat is tender.
    About 1 hour before end of cooking time, add vegetables.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
