Family Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. warm water
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 egg
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add to other ingredients and mix until well blended.
    Cover and let rise 45 minutes.
    Punch down and dip by spoonfuls into greased muffin pans.
    Let rise again and then bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 10 to 12 rolls.
