Hash Brown Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

1 bag Southern style frozen hash browns
1 small jar pimentos, drained
1/4 lb. American cheese, cubed
1/2 c. each chopped green pepper and onion, browned in a small amount of butter
Preparation

Thaw potatoes for at least 30 minutes. Toss with other ingredients. Place in large casserole dish. Prepare white sauce (2 tablespoons butter, melted and 2 tablespoons flour). Stir until bubbly, then add 2 cups milk. Heat, stirring constantly until thick. Top with crushed corn flakes tossed with melted butter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
