Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    1 (2 oz.) jar diced pimiento, drained
    1 (8 oz.) cream-style corn
    1/2 c. boiling water
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl; stir in boiling water.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Pour oil in a depth of 1/2-inch in a large skillet.
    Use a tablespoon dipped in hot water.
    Drop cornmeal mixture into hot oil.
    Fry over medium heat 1 minute on each side or until golden.
    Drain on paper towel.
