Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Northern white beans
    1/4 c. onion, diced
    1/4 c. carrots, diced
    1/4 c. cabbage, chopped
    1 (6 oz.) tomato juice
    1 tsp. whole black pepper
Preparation
    Cook beans as directed.
    About 45 minutes before beans are fully cooked, add onion, carrots and cabbage. Continue cooking for 30 minutes. Add tomato juice and whole black pepper. Bring to a boil and simmer 15 minutes. Salt to taste.
