Apples And Bacon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. Granny Smith apples
    1 lb. lean bacon strips
    3 tsp. brown sugar (heaped)
Preparation
    Peel and thinly slice the apples.
    Place apples in a large frying pan with a small amount of water (1/2 cup).
    Cook until softened, but not pulped.
    Cook bacon and cut into small pieces. Add bacon and brown sugar.
    Cook together until sugar is totally melted.
    Serve with whole wheat toast.
