Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    2 lb. chopped meat
    4 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 pinch oregano
    1 tsp. basil
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1/4 c. wine
    2 bay leaves
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    2 cans stewed tomatoes, chopped
    2 cans water
    2 cans Progresso red kidney beans
Preparation
    Brown meat in butter.
    Add onion, celery, peppers and spices. Saute for 10 minutes.
    Add tomatoes, wine and water and simmer for 1 hour.
    Cool down.
    (Best when made a day ahead.)
