Ingredients

2 large red cooking apples
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Wash apple, but do not peel.
Core; cut apples in 1/2-inch slices.
In a medium bowl, toss apples with lemon juice.
In 10-inch skillet, combine sugar, corn syrup and 3/4 cup of water. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Boil, uncovered, 2 to 3 minutes.
Layer apple slices in skillet.
Add remaining lemon juice in bowl.
Cook over medium heat, uncovered, and turn several times for 5 minutes or until glazed and tender. Serves 6.
