Nut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups pecans, walnuts, almonds or roasted peanuts
    2 cups sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Spread nuts close together in buttered shallow pan. Heat sugar in heavy sauce pan until melted and a light golden color. Remove from heat, quickly stir in salt, soda and vanilla, Pour over nuts. When cold break into pieces.
