Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg yolks or 2 whole eggs
    1 C sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening, softened
    3/4 C milk
    3 1/2 C sifted flour
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat well the eggs. Add sugar and shortening. Stir in milk. Add flour and vanilla. Mix well. Chill dough for 2 hours. Heat fat in deep pot. Roll out and cut out doughnuts with doughnut cutter. Fry until golden brown in hot 370 to 380 degree oil. Drain. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
