Mock Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    22 Ritz crackers
    2 unbaked pie shells
Preparation
    Bring water, sugar and cream of tartar to a boil.
    Add 22 whole Ritz crackers; boil 2 minutes (do not stir).
    Pour into pie shell.
    Top with cinnamon, nutmeg and dots of butter.
    Cover with top crust and bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
