Sour Milk Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
3 Tbsp. melted shortening
1 1/4 c. water
1 c. sour milk
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Combine egg, melted shortening and sour milk.
Stir in water containing dissolved soda.
Add sifted dry ingredients.
Beat smooth. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 400\u00b0.
