2 c. buttermilk
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
peanut oil
Preparation

Cut onions into 1/2-inch slices and separate into rings; set aside. Whisk together flour, buttermilk, sugar, baking powder and salt until smooth.
