Curry Lamb - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. boneless lamb shoulder
    5 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 clove garlic
    2 tsp. curry powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 tart apple, peeled and chopped
    boiling water
Preparation
    Cut lamb into 1-inch pieces.
    Heat oil in large skillet.
    Add onion and garlic.
    Cook until onion is lightly brown.
    Remove and discard garlic.
    Add curry powder, salt and pepper.
    Cook 5 minutes.
    Add lamb, celery, apple and enough boiling water to cover.
    Mix well.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until lamb is tender.
    Serve with rice.
