Easy Cheesy Noodle Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. (2 1/2 c.) uncooked extra wide noodles
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 c. (12 oz. can) undiluted Carnation evaporated milk
    3/4 c. water
    1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. (8 oz.) cubed turkey or chicken
    1 1/2 c. frozen English peas, thawed (canned peas, drained, can be used)
Preparation
    Cook noodles according to package directions.
    In medium saucepan, melt butter; saute onion.
    Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in evaporated milk and water.
    Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
    Add cheese and stir until melted. Stir in salt, pepper, noodles, turkey or chicken and peas.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Serve immediately.
