Scotch Broth - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. water
    1 small onion, chopped
    3 stalks celery, sliced
    3 shoulder lamb chops (all meat cut from the bones)
    2 cubes chicken bouillon
    1 small leek, entirely sliced
    1 small turnip, diced
    1 very large carrot, sliced
    1/2 c. pearl barley
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients into a large pot and bring to a boil. Lower heat and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes. Serve with fresh rye bread and butter.
