Spanish Rice Pronto - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. bacon drippings or butter
    2 c. Minute rice
    16 oz. tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. mustard
    1 thinly sliced onion
    1/2 c. green pepper, diced
    1 lb. hamburger
    2 c. hot water
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Melt bacon drippings or butter in saucepan.
    Add onion, green pepper, Minute rice and hamburger.
    Saute until lightly browned. Add tomato sauce and 2 cups hot water or add 4 cups canned tomatoes and omit the water.
    Mix in salt and pepper and the mustard.
    Bring to a boil quickly.
    Then reduce heat.
    Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings.
