Linguine With Tuna Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion (red), chopped
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    2 garlic cloves, chopped
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Italian plum tomatoes
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
    1/4 c. white wine (dry)
    12 oz. uncooked linguine
    2 cans solid white tuna, water packed, drained and flaked
Preparation
    In large skillet, saute onion, pepper, garlic, lemon juice, basil and red pepper flakes in oil until soft.
    Add tomatoes and 1/4 cup white wine (dry); bring to boil.
    Simmer, uncovered.
    Cook linguine to package directions.
    Add tuna to sauce in skillet. Cook until heated through, about 15 minutes.
    Drain pasta.
    Toss with sauce.
    Makes 6 servings.
