Fried Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium (half ripe) tomatoes
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    oil
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 1/2 tsp. sugar
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
Preparation
    Wash tomatoes and cut, unpeeled, into 1/4-inch thick slices. Drain on paper towel.
    Combine flour, salt, sugar and pepper and dust tomato slices.
    Add milk to the remaining flour mixture to make a thick batter.
    Dip floured slices in batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
