Sour Cream Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Add combined dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, mixing well after each addition.
Chill several hours or overnight.
Knead with flour on lightly floured surface and work dough with enough flour until easy to handle.
Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut with 3-inch round cookie cutter. Place on well-greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
