Chicken Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 qt. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. thyme leaves
    2 bay leaves
    2 cloves garlic, split
    celery leaves
    1 ready to cook chicken
    6 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 qt. cut up cabbage
    4 medium carrots, sliced in half
    4 medium onions, quartered
    poultry seasoning
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients.
    Rinse chicken under cold water; bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    Cut chicken into bite-size pieces; discard bones and skin.
    Strain broth and skim off fat.
    Return broth to kettle.
    Add bouillon.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Add vegetables; simmer until tender.
    Add chicken and simmer 5 minutes.
    Makes 8 servings.
