Stewed Tomatoes And Okra - cooking recipe

2 Tbsp. oil (olive)
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut okra
1 onion, sliced (1 c.)
3 cloves garlic, sliced
1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes
3/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. sugar
French oregano sprig (optional)
Preparation

In pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add okra, onion and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables begin to soften, 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in diced tomatoes, oregano, paprika, salt, cayenne pepper and sugar; cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture thickens slightly, 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to serving bowl; garnish with oregano sprig, if desired.
