Caramel Coma - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. pecan sandies, crushed
    1 stick butter
    3 cans sweetened condensed milk
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation
    Combine crushed cookie crumbs and butter.
    Press in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
    Set aside to cool.
    Place 3 unopened cans of sweetened condensed milk completely submerged in slow boiling water bath (large pan; low heat) for 3 hours.
    Do not let water level get below top of cans.
    Cool cans; open when cooled.
    Spread over crust.
    Top with Cool Whip.
    Chill 1 hour.
