Hot Chocolate - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 oz semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
    1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
    4 cups milk, divided
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    Whipped cream or marshmallows (optional)
Preparation
    Combine chocolate, sugar, and 1/4 cup milk in medium saucepan over medium-low heat.
    Cook, stirring constantly until chocolate melts.
    Add remaining 3 3/4 cups milk; heat until hot, stirring occasionally.
    Do Not Boil!
    Stir in vanilla.
