Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. sifted regular flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. golden Delicious apples, pared, cored and chopped
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream butter in a mixing bowl.
Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Gradually add to egg mixture.
Stir in apples and nuts.
Turn into a buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
Serve with hot buttered rum sauce.
