Scottish Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. old-fashioned oats or 1 1/4 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter or margarine, melted
1/3 c. milk
1 egg
1/2 c. raisins or currants
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients.
Add butter, milk and egg, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in raisins. Shape dough into a ball, then pat out on a floured surface into an 8-inch circle. Cut into wedges.
Place on a cookie sheet and bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
Yields 8 to 12 scones.
