Autumn Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    4 c. water
    1 c. diced celery
    2 tsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    1 large can whole, crushed tomatoes
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. cut up carrots
    1 c. cubed, pared potatoes
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. basil
    1 box frozen green beans
    2 c. beans
    2 qt. water
    smoked pork hocks (about 1 1/2 lb.) or smoked sausage or beef
    2 carrots, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 to 3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 beef bouillon cube
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    salt and pepper
    1 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight.
    Simmer everything listed for 3 hours, then take out pork hocks, discard skin, fat and bones.
    Cut up meat and return to soup.
