Granddad'S Eastern Shore Sweet Pone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 pt. corn meal (1 pt. equals 2 c.)
    1 1/2 pt. boiling water
    3/4 pt. flour
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. molasses
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 pt. cold water
Preparation
    Scald in a saucepan the corn meal with the boiling water, stirring constantly.
    Mix in flour, brown sugar, molasses and salt. Pour in cold water and stir to get out most lumps.
    Bake overnight very slowly at low temperature, 200\u00b0.
    Bake either in crock-pot or in a cast-iron or other heavy container in oven.
