Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 c. green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk (made from powdered milk)
    1 can cream-style corn
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 eggs
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 pkg. taco seasoning
    1 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Brown meat in skillet; add taco seasoning.
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add eggs, buttermilk, corn, onion and pepper.
    Heat shortening in skillet.
    Add half of the corn bread mixture and layer of meat and cheese.
    Add other half of corn bread and last layer of meat and cheese.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour.
