Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 c. milk
1 egg
1/8 c. margarine
Preparation

Combine meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Add egg and milk; stir swiftly.
Melt margarine in iron skillet.
Pour batter into skillet.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
