Herbed Tomato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
3 chicken bouillon cubes
1 qt. water
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
Preparation

In 2 1/2 to 3-quart saucepan, saute celery and onion.
Mix in garlic, bouillon cubes, water, herbs and pepper.
Stir until cubes dissolve.
Simmer, uncovered, until vegetables are just tender, about 8 minutes.
Mix in tomatoes, coarsely chopped, with liquid and tomato paste.
Cook gently about 10 more minutes.
Good served with grilled cheese or egg salad sandwich.
