Roast Beef (Philippine Style) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. boneless whole piece beef (any roast)
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. onions, sliced
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    3 gloves garlic
    2 Tbsp. wine or cooking sherry
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 bay leaves
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in a pot, then marinate beef in mixture. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Add a cup of water and continue to simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours more or until meat is tender. Taste and correct seasoning, if needed.
    Slice crosswise against fibers when serving.
