Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
1 stick oleo
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Pour the boiling water over the oats.
Set aside. Cream together the oleo, brown sugar and white sugar. Add the eggs.
Mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon.
Pour oatmeal over creamed mixture and blend.
Add the flour mix and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Mix all together just to blend; don't overbeat (I did that at first).
Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes. Delicious served with whipped cream.
